Yes, the VTAC Troy handguard is almost identical, but it uses the milspec barrel nut, which is simpler to install, but it isn't nearly as beefy as the ALG barrel nut. You can get a carbon fiber handguard which will not heat up anywhere near as quickly, Troy, Smoke Composites, and many other companies make nice ones. You can also use a Manta Tac Wrap, KE SHTF+ Wrap, or a Camo Form Wrap on any handguard which will shield you from the heat. However they also add the most weight.
