Nelscott is a crazy place; the reef lies about a half of a mile out. You can barely see surfers dropping in from the beach. To get out to the break, you have to battle through a treacherous shore break and a series of sand bars that are breaking like Puerto Escondido in cold water. There were jet skis to pull us out to the reef.
