In the fuel part of the manual on page 3c-8 they have an oil pump test: Get a oil mix test tank at 50:1. Disconnect the output of the pump and divert to a calibrated container, plugging the line you removed to keep from messing up the fuel supply to the engine. Disconnect the linkage to the carb linkage.

It's designed so if that gets restricted, the reserve tank on the engine provides you with 1/2 hour of oil at WOT. Could have been anything to restrict flow.Trace the wires from the back of the VRO to its rubber plug (electrical plug) and disconnect it. 2 - Trace the two wires from the oil tank to the engine, disconnect those two wires, then remove them and the oil tank. 3 - Mix the 50/1 oil in the proper amount with whatever quantity fuel you have.
