SMP can attach physics to (almost) any bone. CBPC is just for a few predefined. Thats why CBPC will not work for things like clothes and hair, but SMP will.

If the command is not recognized then HDT-SMP is not running and is probably not even loaded. This will most likely be due to a compatibility issue.
